The API metadata is used by the configurator to browse and select API Programs, transactions and fields. Since the VPM server is an online cloud service it cannot access the local M3 server. To enable API browsing on the server, the API metadata needs to be uploaded by the desktop client.

Log on to the VXL client using a user with "Company Admin" access.

Select an environment and click "Update Repository"

Log on to the M3 server. Note: This i another user than the VXL user

Verify that the job has started
