1. Tag Creation and Assignment
Admin Capabilities
Admins have the capability to create and assign tags to both regular and admin users. This section explains how to manage tags effectively.
User Interface Overview
- Regular Users: Both Roles and Tags options are displayed in the user details screen.
- Admin Users: Only the Tags option is displayed.
Creating Tags
- Navigate to Tag Tab: In the user details screen, go to the Tag tab.
- Add Tag Option: Click the "Add Tag" button to display key and value text boxes.
- Enter Tag Key and Value:
- Tag Key: Type the tag name. If there are no existing tags in the tenant, no suggestions will be shown. If tags exist, suggestions will appear as you type.
- Tag Value: Enter the tag value, which can be any string.
- Save Tag: Click "Add" inside the value box to assign the value to the tag, then click "Save" to finalize the tag assignment to the user profile.
Managing Tags
- Deleting Tags: Click the delete icon next to a tag to remove it from the user profile.
- Editing Tags: You can edit the tag value by clicking on it. Note that the tag name cannot be modified; changing a tag name will create a new tag. This is a temporary limitation, and future updates will allow direct renaming.
- Mandatory Fields: Both key and value fields are required when creating a tag.
