This document provides a detailed guide on creating and configuring the Search Box Widget within the Dashboard Details Page.
Selecting the Widget
- Click on the Search Box Widget.
- Other widget templates will be hidden, and the Search Box Widget configuration fields will be displayed.
2. Fields for Configuration
- Name (mandatory): Provide a unique name for the widget.
- Data Set (mandatory): Select a data set from the Table Management list.
- The data set list supports searching for tables.
3. Creating the Widget
- The Create button will remain disabled until both fields are filled.
- After entering the required details, click Create.
- The Search Box widget is used to search for data within the selected dataset.
Search Box Settings Panel
Clicking on the search Box Widget, the right-side Search Box Settings Panel will be displayed with the following tabs:
1. Data Tab
- Title and Placeholder:
- The title displays the widget name.
- The Placeholder text box is blank by default and can be updated by the user. The updated placeholder text will reflect in the widget search box.
- Data Set:
- Displays the selected data set.
- Users can change the data set by clicking inside the data set box, which will display a searchable popup of available data sets. The popup will show the following columns:
- Data Set Name
- Data Set Alias Name
- Description
- Users can sort the columns for better navigation.
- A message, "Changes made in dataset will not be updated until save button is clicked," will appear below the data set box when changes are made.
Details Tab
The Details tab allows users to customize the data displayed in the search results.
- Column List:
- Displays all column names from the selected dataset.
- Search Box:
- Users can search for specific columns using the search box at the top of the tab.
